A delegation from the Libyan Parliament headed by the Second Deputy Speaker, Abdul-Hadi Al-Soghair, met in Moscow with Russia’s Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, in the presence of the Russian President’s envoy to Libya and Moscow’s former and current ambassadors to Libya.
During the meeting, held at the Russian Foreign Ministry headquarters, views were exchanged on the current situation in Libya, where the focus was on the problems of a comprehensive settlement of the Libyan crisis, and the need to continue promote constructive national dialogue with the participation of all political forces in order to ensure the unity and sovereignty of the Libyan state.
The meeting separately discussed a number of issues related to the further development of Libyan-Russian relations, including international parliamentary contacts, the Parliament said in a statement on Tuesday.
