Deputy chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Abdullah al Lafi, met with the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces headed by the Government of National Unity of Tripoli (GUN), General Mohamad al Haddad, to follow up the implementation of the anti-crime aimed at putting an end to the presence of illegal armed groups in the coastal city of Zawiya, in the north-west of the country.
This was reported in a note from the Presidential Council published via Facebook. During the meeting, the note explains, the importance of implementing “all the instructions given regarding the protection of civilians, securing state institutions, supporting the stability of the city and eliminating armed forms” was underlined.
