Qaminis – Mohamed Al-Badri, mayor of Qaminis Municipality, met with representatives of Wahat Al-Ibda for General Contracting and Real Estate Investment Holding Company to discuss opportunities for collaboration and investment within the municipality.
The meeting addressed the possibility of investing in solar energy, housing, and agricultural projects to support local development and encourage sustainable investment.
Both sides also discussed public cleanliness, waste recycling, and ways to benefit economically from waste as a practical solution to the municipality’s problem with garbage accumulation.
Al-Badri told the Libyan News Agency that the municipality welcomes serious investment initiatives that help improve services. He emphasized that renewable energy and cleanliness are top priorities for the municipal council.
He added that the municipality is working to strengthen partnerships with the private sector to find a sustainable solution to the garbage problem. This includes a recycling project to turn waste from an environmental burden into an economic resource that benefits the municipality and its residents.
