Russian Defense Ministry announces strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial complex

Moscow – Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that Russian forces carried out seven coordinated strikes on sites belonging to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex. The ministry said the attacks targeted military factories, fuel and energy facilities, transportation infrastructure, ports used by the Ukrainian armed forces, military airports, assembly workshops, and storage and launch sites for drones. Temporary bases for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries were also hit, according to the statement.

The ministry added that Russian air defenses shot down 354 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions overnight.

Meanwhile, Kyiv region governor Mykola Kalyshnyk said a Russian drone attack on a food processing plant killed four people. Kalyshnyk stated on Telegram that the strike caused a fire in an administrative building at the facility, destroying parts of its structure.
