BENGHAZI — The Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, received on Sunday the Minister of State at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, along with his accompanying delegation, at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi.
Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar welcomed the Qatari minister, emphasizing the depth of fraternal relations between the two countries and expressing appreciation for Qatar’s efforts to support the stability and unity of Libya.
The two sides discussed the latest local and regional political developments, as well as avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation across various fields in service of mutual interests.
For his part, Dr. Al-Khulaifi expressed his pleasure at visiting Benghazi, commending the city’s ongoing stability and urban development. The Qatari minister also extended an official invitation to Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar to visit the State of Qatar to continue mutual consultations and coordination.
