Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani confirmed that there is great concern about Libya, indicating that they are working intensively with all their diplomats on the Libyan issue.
This came during a speech by Tajani on Libya at the opening session of the conference of Italian ambassadors to the world, organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome on December 21 and 22, with the participation of more than 100 Italian ambassadors abroad.
“We are also working intensively with all countries in North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa because we consider Libya a priority, as well as to solve the issue of immigration, and we are also working on a greater Italian presence in the Mediterranean region,” added the Italian foreign minister.
“Italy is well established not only geographically but also historically in the Mediterranean region,” he added.
