Telecommunications and Internet Outage Disrupts Electronic Services in Al-Kufra for Second Day

Al-Kufra – The spokesperson for Al-Kufra Municipality, Abdullah Hamed, said the city has been experiencing a complete outage of telecommunications and internet services for about 48 hours. This disruption has halted several electronic services that residents depend on for their daily transactions.

Hamed told Al-Anbaa newspaper that the outage has directly affected online buying and selling, money transfers, travel bookings, and communications between residents and their families inside and outside the city.

He noted that residents are waiting for an official statement to clarify the reasons behind the outage and the expected timeline for restoring services. Many activities in Al-Kufra that rely on communications and internet remain impacted.

The spokesman stressed that the ongoing stoppage is creating major challenges for both service and commercial sectors in the city. He called on relevant authorities to quickly resolve the issue and keep citizens updated on the restoration of services.
