Benghazi – General Commander Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar affirmed that the army is Libya’s impenetrable shield. He emphasized the importance of enhancing its readiness. He also stressed keeping pace with modern military developments.
This ensures the army’s ability to confront various security threats. It also maintains the country’s security and stability. Haftar made these remarks during an Iftar banquet for armed forces officers.
The event was held at the General Staff headquarters. The banquet was attended by Major General Saddam Khalifa, Deputy General Commander. Major General Khaled Khalifa, Chief of General Staff, was also present. National Security Advisor Abdul Razzaq Al-Nazouri attended as well. Heads of specialized staff were there. Directors of departments at the General Command also attended. During his speech, the General Commander congratulated officers.
He also congratulated all members of the armed forces. This was for the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. He paid tribute to the martyrs’ souls. They sacrificed their lives defending the homeland. He affirmed the armed forces’ continued commitment. They will continue their national role. They will also protect Libya’s sovereignty.
