Tobruk – The head of the Tobruk Elections Commission, Ali Al-Ta’ie, held a security meeting on Sunday with the head of the sub-chamber for securing and protecting elections in Al-Butnan, Misrati Hassan, to develop a security plan for the voter registration application committees in preparation for the launch of municipal council elections for the third group in the Tobruk municipality, Monday.
During the meeting, held at the Al-Butnan Security Directorate headquarters, they discussed enhancing coordination among various security agencies to ensure the electoral process proceeds in a safe and organized atmosphere. They also affirmed the readiness of the teams assigned to security duties at all electoral sites, according to a statement from the Tobruk Electoral Administration Office.
This meeting is part of the joint efforts between the High National Elections Commission and the Al-Butnan Security Directorate to ensure the success of the upcoming electoral process and fulfill citizens’ aspirations for democratic participation.
Tomorrow, Monday, the third group of elections will proceed to elect 11 municipal councils in the following municipalities: Tobruk, Qasr al-Jedi, Qaminis, Sirte, Benghazi, Al-Abyar, Tocra, Suluq, Tajoura, Sabha, and New Janzur.
