Turkish Ambassador in Libya, Kenan Yilmaz, has denied that his country was involved in the security operation launched by the Government of National Unity in western Libya in the past few days.
This is according to a statement by the Presidential Council whose deputy chairman Abdullah Al-Lafi met with Yilmaz on Sunday to discuss “bilateral relations between the two countries and a series of issues of common interest,” according to the council’s statement.
During the meeting, Al-Lafi underlined “the importance of the partnership between Libya and Turkey, reiterating their commitment to strengthen economic relations and to open horizons of cooperation in various other fields.”
