Nasser Al-Aqili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor, announced on Tuesday his resignation from the government of outgoing premier Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.
In a letter addressed to Dbeibeh, Al-Aqili said he decided to step down over “concern of political division” and to ensure “public interest”.
Libya’s House of Representatives named Fathi Bashagha as new interim leader, replacing Dbeibeh who refuses to handover power.
