During their meeting in Benghazi with the Libyan National Army (LNA) commander’s office director and chiefs of staff, U.S. Embassy in Libya Defense Attaché Office reaffirmed U.S. commitment to engage with Libyan military officials in all regions of the country and to support enhanced cooperation among military institutions throughout Libya, according to US Embassy.
“The United States will continue to encourage efforts to advance military unification, while supporting a credible electoral roadmap, to secure long-term peace, stability, and prosperity in Libya,” the Embassy said in a statement.
