Two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine arrived in Libya on Monday, announced Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity.
“In the coming days, about one and a half million more doses of the Coronavirus vaccine will arrive,” said Dbeibeh, who was at Tripoli’s Mitiga Airport when a freightage of doses arrived.
The Libyan premier called on all Libyans to vaccinate as soon as possible.
Following a spike of cases in July, the Health Ministry said today that the infection rate in the country decreased from 68% to 24%.
