The Libyan National Army’s Ground Forces Command confirmed on Monday that several soldiers from the “128 Brigade” were killed during clashes with armed groups near the country’s southern border.
Major General Saddam Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces, extended his condolences to Major General Hassan Matouq Al-Zadma, the commander of the “128 Brigade,” in a message mourning the loss of the soldiers who died in the line of duty.
In a related announcement, the army’s media office stated that desert patrols, ordered by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, continue to operate across southern Libya. These patrols are actively monitoring the border regions, particularly the area known as the Salvador Triangle, which borders Algeria and Niger.
