The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) reported on Monday that 3,425 new people tested positive for COVID-19, marking 44 percent of the infection rate. The NCDC said that 18 people died of the virus, while 617 have recovered during the same reporting period.
The total recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya is now more than 224,000 since the start of the pandemic and over 184,000 of which have recovered, according to the NCDC, which has been tracking daily infections and recovery since April 2020.
Death toll of the virus have reached 3,299 in total, while over 490,614 people were vaccinated.
