The Public Prosecution announced the detention of a member of the Intervention and Control Force pending investigation into the incident involving the killing of citizen Al-Hashemi Misbah Al-Shalabi and the injury of his sister by gunfire in the city of Al-Khoms, noting that investigations are ongoing to pursue the remaining perpetrators.
The Public Prosecution clarified in its statement that it addressed the crime immediately after it occurred, launching its inquiries to identify the perpetrators of the acts under prosecution, and succeeded in identifying the group that carried out the killing. It added that security forces arrested one of the suspects, who was interrogated and confronted with the evidence and legal facts related to the crimes of murder and attempted murder.
The Public Prosecution affirmed the continuation of its procedures to pursue the remaining individuals involved in the crime and to take the necessary legal measures to ensure all perpetrators are brought to justice. It stressed that the rule of law will be applied without exception in all cases involving attacks on human life.
