Benghazi – Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met with Saud Al-Hajilan, the First Deputy President of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council. The meeting was also attended by Abdullah Al-Masri Al-Fadil, Chief of the House of Representatives’ Office, and Fayez Al-Shawabkeh, Secretary-General of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council.
According to the House’s media office, the meeting discussed final arrangements and preparations for the second general session of the Asian-African Parliamentary Council, which will be held in Benghazi.
Participants highlighted the importance of this event in strengthening the partnership between Asian and African countries. They noted it would provide an opportunity to share parliamentary experiences and best practices.
Those attending praised the ongoing efforts to ensure the conference’s success. They stressed the importance of promoting parliamentary dialogue and cooperation to address shared issues and strengthen relations among member states and their peoples.
