Member of Parliament Mohamed Al-Abani said Turkey and Egypt are two of the countries most closely linked to Libya historically. He believes the security and stability of Libya have a direct impact on the interests of both nations.
In an interview with Al-Massar TV, Al-Abani explained that the success of the U.S. peace initiative would benefit the economic and security interests of Turkey and Egypt. Both countries are deeply connected to political and security developments in Libya.
Al-Abani added that as regional positions draw closer in support of a unified Libyan political process, the chances of the U.S. initiative succeeding in achieving a genuine settlement, ending the division in Libya, will improve.
