Tripoli – Mansour Al-Hasadi, a member of Libya’s State Council, said the recent rapprochement between Egypt and Turkey over the Libyan crisis could play a positive role in supporting a settlement. However, he emphasized that true progress requires a genuine national political will that can overcome internal divisions.
In comments to Al-Massar TV, Al-Hasadi stressed that regional and international support alone is not enough. He said these efforts must be matched by serious engagement from Libyan parties in addressing the crisis and reaching practical agreements.
Al-Hasadi called on Libyans to take greater responsibility for solving their crisis and to make the most of any constructive international support in ways that serve the national interest. He added that bridging divisions requires using regional and international initiatives as support for a solution, not as a substitute for domestic consensus between Libyan factions.
