Member of Parliament Issam Al-Jahani said support from the General Command for the U.S. peace initiative comes after a thorough national and political assessment of the current situation. He stated that this support gives the initiative greater momentum and pushes towards practical solutions for the Libyan crisis.
Al-Jahani, in a statement to Al-Massar TV, described the General Command as a key player in Libya’s political scene. He noted that its backing strengthens the initiative’s chances of success.
He added that the U.S. initiative is a real opportunity to break the deadlock and end political and security divisions in Libya. It opens the path towards addressing the crisis.
Al-Jahani pointed out that the current indicators show the U.S. initiative is different from previous efforts, as it is receiving clear international support and momentum.
