Benghazi – The Al-Tadamon Club for People with Disabilities achieved a remarkable sporting feat. They secured six diverse medals. This was during their participation in the Libya Athletics Championship for People with Disabilities. The event took place in Tripoli. It was held on January 30-31, 2026.
The club participated with four athletes. Athlete Ayman Al-Mahdi Al-Fadil won a gold medal. This was in the discus throw event. Athlete Amal Eid Al-Barasi secured a gold medal in the shot put. She also won a silver medal in the discus throw. Athlete Hoda Abdel-Khair Saad earned two bronze medals. She finished third in both the discus throw and shot put events. Athlete Hoda Hamad Al-Sakat also secured a bronze medal. This was in the discus throw competition.
This marks the club’s first participation at a national level. The club management has initiated forming diverse sports teams. These teams aim to include various categories of people with disabilities. They will participate in both individual and team sports. The Al-Tadamon Sports Club in Benghazi is a pioneering institution. It activates and promotes sports for people with disabilities. The club operates under the General Authority for the Social Solidarity Fund in Libya.
