Member of the House of Representatives Saeed Imghaib criticized the head of the Libyan Media Corporation, Mohammed Baayou – without naming him – accusing him of trying to classify Libyans and apply labels to those who disagree with him.
Imghaib said in a post on his official page that one of the “qualities of a rational, balanced person is not to go on satellite channels to grant the title of ‘patriot’ to whomever he wishes and describe his opponents as separatists or enemies of the Karama project.”
The representative pointed out that the Libyan people “have a strong memory and have not forgotten the stances of some when they used to praise those they attack today.”
He added that the one who criticizes today had “benefited from all political stages, starting from the former regime and the February revolution, through the successive governments, up to the current government headed by Osama Hammad,” considering that this “makes his testimony compromised and biased.”
Imghaib concluded his post by saying: “Stop wearing the lawyer’s cloak, and leave the Libyan people, who are tired of falsification and deception. Do not lecture those who are demanding their rights to oil, gas, and resources, for they are the ones who paid the price, not you.”
