Benghazi – Benghazi is preparing to host the second edition of the Jaber Othman Children’s Festival. It is scheduled for July 3, 2026. Preliminary preparations have begun by the festival’s supreme committee.
The supreme committee held its first preparatory meeting on Sunday evening. This took place at the Popular Theater Hall. They discussed preparations during the meeting. They also outlined the general program for the second edition.
Wafaa Bujwari, head of the media committee, confirmed this. The meeting addressed developing a comprehensive program. This program aims to support and care for childhood. It will also enhance cultural and artistic activities for children. She noted that the second edition will see organizational and artistic development.
She added that it was agreed to honor three prominent figures. These individuals contributed to the field of childhood. They are from both Benghazi and outside the city. This is in appreciation of their contributions and efforts.
The meeting also discussed the technical and organizational aspects of the festival. Some implementation requirements were identified. Emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation with relevant parties. This cooperation is to ensure the success of the events. It will also expand community participation.
