Benghazi – The Municipal Guard in Benghazi has warned all owners of commercial and service activities against failing to implement electronic services and the prepaid payment system, stressing that any violation will subject the business to strict legal measures, which may lead to its closure until all legal requirements are met.
Colonel Salah Al-Sahli, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the agency’s presidential office, confirmed that compliance includes obtaining a commercial license, a sign permit, and Chamber of Commerce registration, paying Zakat, taxes, and social security, as well as settling water and electricity fees. It also includes paying public sanitation fees and officially activating electronic services.
He called on business owners to immediately regularize their legal and administrative status to avoid any penalties.
