Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mohammed Eissa, held a meeting on Sunday with Natalina Cea, the Head of the EU Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM) in Libya, to discuss the security of Libya’s southern borders.
According to a statement by the Libyan foreign ministry, Eissa informed Cea that Libyan forces need “logistical support” more than it need training. He also said that the ministry would communicate with various state sector to create a strategy for border security, in cooperation with EUBAM.
For her part, Cea underscored EUBAM’s support for Libya, and stated that European mission is to keen on cooperating with the Libyan government in its plan strategy.
