Libya – Mesad Boulos, the chief advisor to the U.S. president on Arab and African affairs, said he held talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan about the next steps in Libya. He confirmed that the discussion focused on building on recent momentum to advance the country’s political process.
Boulos stated on the social media platform X that the talks emphasized the importance of unifying Libyan institutions and supporting a Libyan-led path toward unified governance and national elections.
He also noted that Turkey remains a key partner in efforts to achieve a stable, unified, and prosperous Libya.
