Libyan Economy Minister, Mohamed al-Huwaij, held a meeting with a number of Brazilian companies wishing to work in Libya and participate in the implementation of the Government of National Unity’s (GNU) plan to restore and develop the infrastructure to support the national economy.
Al-Huwaij stressed to the Brazilian companies that GNU seeks to resume work on suspended projects, contracted with Brazilian companies, in addition to implementing other projects in the fields of renewable energy, oil, transportation, and establishing free and private zones, with the aim of activating the transit trade.
The meeting, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Economic Studies and Reforms and the Department of Foreign Trade and International Cooperation at the Ministry, also discussed the mechanism for Brazilian companies to enter Libya, and the completion of registration procedures for the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the relevant authorities.
