British Embassy in Libya said that open and vibrant civil society and freedom of association is crucial for holding elections and supporting a peaceful transition in Libya.
The Embassy also expressed its “support for human rights and civic space in Libya.”
“UK reiterates its ongoing support for the UN Fact Finding Mission on Human Rights in Libya, due to issue its final report in March,” the Embassy tweeted.
“Transparency and accountability for human rights violations should be central to Libya’s transition process,” it added.
