Libyan oil output is 729,000 barrels per day, the National Oil Corporation (NOC) media office said on Thursday, down from a high of more than 1.3 million bpd last year.
Oil prices rose sharply on Thursday, extending a rally from the previous session, on escalating unrest in OPEC+ oil producer Kazakhstan and supply outages in Libya, Reuters reported.

Members of the Libyan Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) closed the crude oil pipeline feeding a number of electric power production plants of the General Electricity Company (GECOL) with natural gas as the main fuel to operate the stations of Al-Ruwais, Al-Zawiya, Al-Khums, as well as part of the Misurata Station, according to GECOL.

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) accused the Minister of Oil and Gas, Mohamed Aoun, of “infringing his powers” and “practicing a policy of misleading for the purpose of disrupting the Corporation’s work,” the NOC said in a statement on Sunday.
