The goal is to maintain communication channels. It will intensify mediation efforts. China aims to promote regional consensus. She added that China will send Zhai Jun. He is the Chinese Government’s Special Envoy for Middle East Affairs. He will go to the region soon.
His mission is to de-escalate the tense situation. These statements follow rising regional tensions. Tensions rose after military strikes. The United States and Israel launched these strikes against Iran.
