Commander-in-Chief Receives Elders and Notables from the Central Region, Affirms: "The Armed Forces Will Guarantee Any Agreement That Unites Libyans"

The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, received a delegation of sheikhs, notables, and elders from the tribes of the Central Region today at the General Command headquarters in Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar Military City.

The meeting was attended by the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government, Dr. Osama Hammad, and the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant-General Khaled Haftar.

During the meeting, the delegation of sheikhs and notables from the Central Region renewed their full support for the Armed Forces under the leadership of Field Marshal Haftar. The attendees expressed their keenness on the country’s unity and the reunification of Libyans under one national umbrella, sponsored by the General Command of the Armed Forces.

For his part, the Commander-in-Chief praised the patriotic stances of the Central Region’s tribes and all Libyan tribes, commending their active role in supporting the General Command’s efforts.

Field Marshal Haftar emphasized that “the Armed Forces represent Libya’s safety valve,” stressing that they “will guarantee any agreement that unites Libyans.” He also noted the General Command’s unwavering commitment to the nation’s unity and territorial integrity.

The Commander-in-Chief concluded his remarks by pointing out that the solution to the Libyan crisis must stem from the will of the Libyan people, with the support of the tribes, without waiting for any external initiatives.
