Tripoli – A specialized training workshop for decentralized rapid response teams has concluded in the capital, Tripoli. The workshop was conducted following the “all-hazards” approach, one of the leading modern methods in the field of preparedness and readiness.
The approach is based on viewing various potential risks—whether epidemiological, environmental, food-related, or natural disasters—as interconnected threats that require an integrated and unified response.
Mohamed Bushlaif, a member of the media office of the Kufra Health Emergency Room, explained to the Libyan News Agency that adopting this approach reflects the importance of building national capacities capable of dealing with all scenarios, far from being limited to a single type of crisis.
He added: “This type of workshop is a cornerstone in developing the competencies of national personnel and enhancing readiness, as it provides teams with a practical and comprehensive vision for response, ensuring the rapid containment of any potential health emergency and minimizing its impacts.”
Bushlaif stated that rapid response teams are the first line of defense during health crises, contributing to early intervention in the fields of human, animal, food, or environmental health.
He continued: “Empowering these teams with training and applied knowledge ensures a greater ability to protect the community from risks and enhances coordination between various sectors within the framework of the One Health approach.”
He affirmed that participation in this workshop is part of the ongoing efforts of the Kufra Health Emergency Room, aimed at strengthening the capabilities of response teams and dealing with future challenges effectively and professionally.
