Benghazi – The Level Three Diving Course, held at the Idah Training Center under the supervision of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), concluded today, Thursday. The course, with the participation of members of the General Administration for Coastal Security, began in the city of Benghazi following official approval from the Minister of Interior, Major General Issam Bouzriba.
This course came as an extension of the Ministry of Interior’s programs aimed at developing the field capabilities of maritime personnel and improving the quality of performance in sensitive tasks related to search and rescue and maritime protection.
The course was held from November 16 to 27 and aimed to train seven members of the General Administration for Coastal Security through an intensive professional program that included theoretical lectures and practical applications in professional diving.
The Director of the General Administration for Coastal Security, Brigadier General Abdul-Hafiz Masoud, told the Libyan News Agency that the course aims to provide trainees with advanced skills that qualify them to carry out complex operations in various field conditions, thereby enhancing the administration’s readiness and its ability to perform its duties with high efficiency.
The director conducted a field visit to the training center, where he was briefed on the program’s progress and the skills acquired by the trainees. He praised the excellent level of the instructors, the scientific materials provided, and the spirit of discipline shown by the participants since the course began.
He also stressed the importance of investing in specialized training as a fundamental pillar for increasing the efficiency of maritime security units and supporting their operational readiness, commending the efforts of the instructors and the expertise they provided, which contributed to raising the performance level of the participants.
