The National Central for Disease Control (NCDC) announced on Saturday that 2,854 people tested positive for COVID-19 in Libya, thus causing a spike of increase of recorded cases by 38%. Eight people were recorded to have died and 376 others recovered during the same reporting period, according to NCDC.
This brings the total toll of recorded COVID-19 cases in Libya to over 204,000 cases since the start of the pandemic, over 180,000 of which have recovered. Death toll of the virus have reached 3,240 in total, while over 425,119 people were vaccinated.
