Dbeibeh affirms need to continue development in Hamada oil field

Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh has affirmed need to continue development in Hamada oil field “after addressing any technical or legal observations in accordance with what was agreed upon at the tenth meeting of the Supreme Council for Energy Affairs,” according to a statement by the premier’s media office on Tuesday.

His remarks came during a meeting held this afternoon in Tripoli with the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Farhat Bin Qaddara, Ministers of Transportation, Muhammad Salem Al-Shahoubi, and the Minister of State, Adel Jumaa, at the premier’s Office in Tripoli.

Dbeibeh is reportedly seeking more investment in oil and gas “with the aim of raising productivity and benefiting from the reserve through exploration and development”.
