The salaries of Petroleum Facilities Guard in Libya will be revised in accordance with the salary plan provided for security employees, according to a decision approved on Sunday by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.
The news comes after the Guard announced the closure of all fields, valves, oil and gas pipelines in the country, citing Dbeibeh’s failure to meet their demands.
They asked the premier to approve the administrative and financial subordination of the Guard to the National Oil Corporation (NOC), as well as to approve an increase in 67 percent of their salaries.
