Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, spoke on Saturday at a press event in Tripoli, where he described his government’s foreign minister Najla Al-Mangoush as “brave” and said that her position on expelling foreign forces out of Libya represents the position of his government.
However, he pointed out at the same time that “people are not infallible, but intentions are the most important thing”.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs is one of the best and bravest active ministers within the government,” he added.
Al-Mangoush had faced backlash from Islamist parties over her demand that foreign forces leave the country, including the Turkish, as agreed upon in the ceasefire deal.
