Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, held a security meeting on Wednesday to follow the progress of the military operation “to counter criminal gangs, drug and arms trafficking […] and fuel smuggling ” in the coastal regions of northwestern Libya, according to a statement by Dbeibeh’s media office.
Among others, the meeting was also attended by the Chief of Staff, General Mohamed al Haddadi.
Dbeibeh praised “the professionalism and respect for the rules by the Air Force, which carried out the tasks assigned to it in coordination with the other bodies of the Armed Forces and intelligence agencies”, reads the statement released by the government.
