Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, held talks on Monday with U.S. Ambassador Richard Norland and representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Tripoli to discuss “economic opportunities for Libyans”, according to a statement released by the U.S. Embassy in Libya.
“Today’s roundtable with AmCham was an opportunity to understand how American companies can partner with Libyan firms and create additional economic opportunities for Libyans,” Norland was quoted as saying in a tweet by the embassy.
“The American companies represented today employ thousands of Libyans in many sectors including energy, construction, and financial services,” he added.
