Dbeibeh downplays Zawiya clashes but says investigation underway

Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, has instructed health officials to launch an efficient plan to monitor the epidemiological situation in Libya and to be prepared by taking precautionary measures against the spread of Coronavirus.

These remarks were made during Dbeibah’s visit on Saturday to the Ministry of Health to meet with officials in there, where a technical meeting took place to review the preparations of the National Center for Disease Control for the new wave of the Coronavirus and the cooperation between the center and the ministry, a statement by the media office of the Ministry of Health said.

Dbeibah also reassured the workers in the quarantine centers that their financial rewards had been processed and would be ready to cash out next week, saying there is still the need to approve the payments by the Audit Bureau.

Meanwhile, the Government of National Unity instructed government institutions not to allow employees to enter their workplace without presenting the Coronavirus vaccination card.

The Minister of State for Prime Minister and Cabinet Affairs, Adel Juma, said that the Prime Minister had instructed ministers, heads and directors of institutions, bodies, centers, agencies, public companies and other institutions not to allow any employee to enter the workplace without presenting a vaccination card. The decision also urged all employees to get the Coronavirus vaccine.
