The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa, inspected the Sabha International Airport project, which is being supervised by the National Development Agency in implementation of the directives of the General Command.
During his field tour, the General expressed his appreciation for the efforts made and the level of achievement in the project, which has reached a 98% completion rate.
The project aims to comprehensively develop Sabha International Airport according to modern technical and architectural specifications, which will contribute to improving air transport services and enhancing the airport’s capacity, as part of efforts to upgrade the infrastructure in the southern region.
Trial operations are scheduled to begin this November in preparation for the official opening, following the completion of technical and operational tests. The airport is set to become a model of modern infrastructure and a fundamental pillar for the development process in the south.
