Ghadwa – Libya’s Development and Reconstruction Fund inaugurated a project on Tuesday to upgrade the entrance to Ghadwa and the 3.5-kilometer road linking it with Murzuq. This initiative is part of the fund’s efforts to improve infrastructure in southern Libya.
The project included widening the main road from 12 to 20 meters and installing a modern lighting system. These improvements are expected to enhance travel and increase traffic safety along this vital route that connects communities across the south.
The opening ceremony drew significant official and community attention. It was attended by the head and members of the Supreme Council of Fezzan Tribes, as well as local elders and a large crowd of residents. Community members praised the completion of this long-awaited development project.
