The Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, will be visiting Libya tomorrow, Monday, where he will hold talks with senior officials in Tripoli and Benghazi, Italian news website Formiche reported on Sunday.
Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Mohammed al-Menfi, chairman of the Presidential Council, and Aguila Saleh, Speaker of the House of Representatives, are among the officials that Di Maio is expected to meet with tomorrow, Formiche said.
The Italian chief diplomat is also expected to meet with his country’s consul in Benghazi Carlo Batori.
Formiche said that it hasn’t been able to confirm whether Di Maio would also meet with Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, the Libyan National Amy’s General Commander.
