A round of dialogues was launched in Cairo Wednesday between the delegations of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) and the High Council of State (HCS) to consult on finding a consensual constitutional basis and resolving legal disputes, as part of a new attempt to facilitate the holding of elections in Libya as soon as possible.
The consultations are scheduled to last a full week under the auspices of the United Nations Special Adviser on Libya, Stephanie Williams, and sponsored by Egypt, where it will handle a joint committee comprising 24 members of HoR and HCS.
