Tripoli – The General Electricity Company announced on Saturday. Maintenance teams across all Libyan regions and cities are repairing emergency faults immediately. This ensures stable electricity for citizens. Specifically, maintenance teams from the New Distribution Department in Al-Ajaylat performed emergency work. This included tensioning cut high-voltage wires on the Al-Dhawayah power transmission line. All maintenance work was completed.
Electricity was restored to citizens. The teams also carried out scheduled maintenance. This involved the second gas unit at the Al-Khums Emergency Power Plant. Technicians and engineers at the plant disassembled and maintained the unit’s combustion chambers. This prepares for the upcoming summer peak. Furthermore, work continued on the final phase.
This project links the Bu Araqub station with the new Bir Mukharram station. It operates at 30 kilovolts. The project is located in the Souk Al-Khamis – Esbe’a area. Maintenance teams from the Lines and Cables Department also performed emergency work. This department belongs to the Al-Bayda Medium Voltage Maintenance Department. It is part of the Green Mountain Medium Voltage Networks Administration.
They conducted emergency maintenance on the Qasr Libya – Al-Kouf 30 kilovolt transmission line. All maintenance was completed. The circuit was charged and returned to service. Work continued from early morning until late evening.
