Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar Receives Egyptian Intelligence Chief in Benghazi

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, received in his office at the General Command headquarters in Benghazi the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Major General Hassan Rashad, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Khaled Haftar.

Upon their arrival in Benghazi, the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Service and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Colonel General Saddam Haftar.

​During the meeting, Major General Hassan Rashad conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to the Commander-in-Chief, praising the level of development in relations between the two sides and emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries.

The two sides discussed local and regional developments, emphasizing the importance of continued communication and coordination to serve the common interests of both countries.

​At the conclusion of the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief expressed his appreciation and respect for His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the brotherly Egyptian people, extending his sincere congratulations on the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, praying to Almighty God for its return to the Islamic and Arab nations with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.
