Tripoli – The National Center for Disease Control received, on Friday, the first shipment of routine vaccinations provided by the American company Pfizer, via Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli.
The vaccines were transported using refrigerated vehicles equipped according to cold chain standards to the cold chain warehouses of the Center’s Department of Pharmacy, Equipment, and Medical Supplies. This is in preparation for completing the necessary administrative procedures, after which they will be distributed to various cities and regions across the country to ensure the continuity and stability of the National Vaccination Program.
The Center confirmed that the remaining shipments will arrive successively during this week, ensuring that national vaccine needs are met without any interruption. This reflects Libya’s commitment to preserving the health of its citizens and strengthening disease prevention efforts.
