Benghazi – The political departments at the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed several issues related to Arab, European, and American affairs during their tenth regular meeting of 2026, held at the ministry headquarters in Benghazi and chaired by Ambassador Mohamed Al-Zaydi.
The meeting reviewed recent updates within the relevant departments and discussed ways to follow up on approved programs and activities. Participants also examined periodic reports on workflow and the implementation level of established plans. The discussions aimed to enhance the efficiency of political and diplomatic performance.
Attendees addressed various items on the agenda and approved the minutes from the previous meeting. This was part of efforts to ensure institutional continuity and improve monitoring and evaluation mechanisms.
The meeting is part of the Foreign Ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote good governance and improve institutional performance. The goal is to strengthen the role of political departments in following regional and international issues, and in formulating foreign policy positions that serve Libya’s national interests.
