Ghat – Inspectors from the Food and Drug Control Center recorded several health violations during two inspection tours in the cities of Ghat and Al-Jifarah. The inspections covered Ghat General Hospital and several butcher shops in the Saadiya area.
In Ghat, a team from the center, accompanied by internal inspection staff, visited Ghat General Hospital. They noted issues with the cleanliness of public restrooms, an urgent need for repairs in the children’s department, and a shortage of medical supplies in the emergency unit.
In the Saadiya area of Al-Jifarah, inspectors from the center, joined by municipal guards, visited several stores selling red and white meat. They identified violations including the absence of health certificates for some workers, ineffective pest control programs, and lack of licenses during the visit. Inspectors also found that red and white meats were stored together in display refrigerators, and that some shops were selling unskinned meat.
The inspectors recommended closing the violating shops and referring their owners to the authorities for legal action, in accordance with established health regulations.
