Former Libyan Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha held a meeting on Sunday with members of the Turkish Center for Middle Eastern Studies to discuss the “important role that Turkey played in achieving military balance, ceasefire efforts, and the return of political life” in Libya.
He also stressed upon “the importance of Turkish cooperation and coordination with all Libyan parties and in various fields”.
“We look forward to developing relations with all countries of the world, especially the neighboring countries with whom we share strategic national security,” he said via Twitter.
It is noteworthy that the UN-sponsored ceasefire agreement stipulates the exit of foreign forces, including that of Turkey’s, out of Libya.
